چکیده

Fertilization, either in the form of organic or inorganic, always affects plant growth, yield, and nutritional quality fruit crops. Further, efficacy fertilizers depends on various factors, including area, climatic conditions, cultivars. Rawalakot has ideal conditions for growing strawberries. However, no studies related to impact different soil amendments growth habit strawberries have been conducted so far. Therefore, this study, combinations (farmyard manure (FYM) poultry (PM)) inorganic (urea) (N 150 kg/ha) were used comparison pattern postharvest strawberry cv. Chandler. The fertilizer regimes showed comparatively better results terms all parameters studied. plants grown soils amended with FYM equivalent 75 kg N per ha + PM 50 urea 41% 28% more survival percentage compared control. Furthermore, number leaves, flowers, fruits, yield significantly high soil. Moreover, a amount total soluble solids (10.0°Brix), titratable acidity (1.18%), ash (0.84%), fiber (3.03%), phenols (7.61 μg gallic acid/g fresh weight), flavonoids (7.93 mmol quercetin/100 g antioxidants (0.60 activity FeSO4 mg/g weight) was noted Similarly, combined treatment FYM, PM, also good as other well overall study revealed that dose could be potential maximum fruits strawberry.

Effect of Boric Acid Spray on Growth and Development of ‘Camarosa’ Strawberry (Fragaria × Ananassa Duch.)

The objective of the present study is to investigate the impact of spraying boric acid on vegetative and reproductive growth of ‘Camarosa’ strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.). The strawberry plants were sprayed with Boric acid at 0 (control), 50 and 100 mg L-1 at 30 days after planting. In general, results indicated that spraying plants with boric acid had a significant effect on yield, frui...

Cloning and characterization of two ripening-related strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa cv. Chandler) pectate lyase genes.

Two genomic clones corresponding to putative pectate lyase genes (plA and plB) were isolated and characterized in strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa cv. Chandler). The corresponding ORFs for the plA and plB genes revealed deduced proteins of 451 and 439 amino acids, respectively, that differ from that of the previously isolated strawberry plC gene. Southern blot analysis has shown that while the p...

Physical attributes and chemical composition of organic strawberry fruit (Fragaria x ananassa Duch, Cv. Albion) at six stages of ripening.

Organic strawberry fruits (Cv. 'Albion') were harvested at six different ripening stages and evaluated for physical and chemical parameters. Biometrical characteristics and moisture content did not change significantly during ripening. Total soluble solids, pH and colour development increased while titratable acidity and fruit firmness decreased 14.7% and 91%, respectively. Fructose, glucose, a...

Response of Strawberry (Fragaria ananassa) cv. Chandler to Different Doses of Gibberellic Acid

Effects of doses of gibberellic acid (GA3) were studied on the growth and performance of strawberry cultivar ‘Chandler’. GA3 was applied as foliar spray at three leaf stages @ 50, 75, 100 and 150 ppm. The applied GA3 @ 150 ppm significantly increased the plant height, leaf area index (LAI), crown size and fruit yield. However, this dose of GA3 (150 ppm) significantly decreased the shelf life an...
